ISS21 and CSF welcome new Deputy Directors
Dr Gema Kloppe-Santamaria and Dr 厂颈辞产丑谩苍 O鈥橲ullivan have each been appointed to the role of Deputy Director of ISS21/Collective Social Futures.
Speaking on the appointments, Professor Maggie O鈥橬eill said: 鈥淚 am delighted to welcome Gema and 厂颈辞产丑谩苍 to their new roles in ISS21/CSF. As Deputy Directors, they will assist me in supporting and championing the wonderful social science work that is ongoing in ISS21 and Collective Social Futures, with colleagues from across the University.
鈥淕ema and 厂颈辞产丑谩苍 are both active members of ISS21 and CSF. Gema is co鈥慶onvenor of the ISS21 Genders, Sexualities and Families research cluster, and both have been involved in the CSF flagship annual event 鈥 the CSF Festival of Social Science 鈥 in recent years. I look forward to working with them in their new roles.鈥
is a sociologist and historian whose work deals with questions of violence, gender, religion, and the state in modern and contemporary Latin America. She is a lecturer in sociology at the Department of Sociology and Criminology at UCC.
is a senior lecturer in social policy in the School of Applied Social Studies, 晚上福利在线观看 Cork (UCC). Her work focuses on community-based participatory research on housing and regeneration, climate change and sustainability, and widening educational participation.
