FIRST庐 LEGO庐 League at 晚上福利在线观看 Cork
Teams of secondary school students from Munster convened at 晚上福利在线观看 Cork on 8 February for the Cork region Finals of the FIRST庐 LEGO庐 League.
The FIRST庐 LEGO庐 League is a global programme that introduces children to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through engaging, hands-on activities.
This annual competition challenges young participants to design, build, and programme robots using LEGO. It provides a fun and interactive way to explore STEM, incorporating soft skills into real-world scenarios that involve coding, research, and presentations across four judging criteria.
Prizes were awarded by Paul Kelleher (VP, Engineering, Qualcomm), Dr. Emanuel Popovici, and Prof. Peter Parbrook from UCC's School of Engineering and Architecture.
The event was the culmination of weeks of effort by students, teachers, and parents, along with workshops facilitated by staff from UCC鈥檚 School of Engineering and Architecture. It was made possible by sponsors Qualcomm, CreativeHUT, and Research Ireland, as well as the support of families, friends, an impressive volunteer team (including the UCC Engineers Without Borders Society), teachers from local schools, UCC staff, and students.
