CPD Short Courses

CPD Short courses, training days and workshops take place in UCC throughout the year, across all Colleges, Schools, Departments, Units and Centres. There are no ECTS credits awarded for these courses, a certificate of attendance is awarded.

  • If you are an Investigator, Research Nurse or have a research role and you are planning to conduct, or are actively engaged in conducting, a clinical investigation of  investigational medical device, then this course is for you.

  • Persons who are involved in conducting Clinical trials are required to have up to date training in ICH-Good Clinical Practice (GCP). This online training module is aimed at Investigators and site staff including research nurses, research fellows and research assistants.

This 4-hour online course can be taken at users own pace over 4 weeks.

  • If you are a masters or undergraduate level student, PaPOR TRaIL will provide you with training and education in open research.

  • This course aims to provide domestic and family abuse frontline workers, support workers and the general population with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to help clients, colleagues, family & friends protect and empower themselves and their families online. 

    The concept of TFA is wide-ranging and inclusive of many subtypes of interpersonal violence and abuse and TFA often utilises mobile, online and other digital technologies.  While there is limited research on the frequency of TFA in Ireland, Australian Research indicates 99% of Australian victims of domestic and family violence have also experienced technology-facilitated abuse and international research (Australian E-Safety Commissioner, 2022).
