We, the Governing Body of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, under and by virtue of the powers in that behalf conferred on us by the said Act, Do by this present instrument under the Seal of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, make the Statute contained in the Schedule hereof for the general government of the said College.

Statute XXXVIII.

Schedule

Statutes I. to XXXVII. of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, shall he read and construed with the additions, modifications and amendments hereinafter set forth.

CHAPTER I.
Professorship in the Faculty of Dairy Science.

1. There shall be established in the Faculty of Dairy Science in the College (in the event of such Professorships being instituted within the College by the Senate of the National University of Ireland) in addition to the Professorships mentioned in Statutes I. to XXXVII. of University College, Cork, the following Professorships, viz:

   Professorship of Dairy Bacteriology;
   Professorship of Dairy Chemistry;
   Professorship of Dairy Technology.

2. The stipends of the said Professorships shall be £800 per annum, payable in accordance with the Statutes of the College and shall be subject to the terms of Chapter II. of Statute XXXVI. of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork.
3. The said Professorships shall be deemed to be full-time Professorships within the meaning of the Statutes of the College and the University, and shall be pensionable Offices in accordance with the Statutes of the College and Pension Scheme made thereunder.
4. The said Professorships shall be tenable for the same terms and upon the same conditions, and the holders thereof shall be subject to the same duties and obligations as if the said Professorships had been included in Statutes I. to XXXVII. of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, subject, however, to the provisions of Section 7 hereof.
5. On the establishment of the said Professorships the existing Lectureships in these Subjects in the Faculty of Dairy Science in the College instituted by Statute XXXIV. of the National University of Ireland, and established by Statute XX. of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, shall, subject to the rights of the present holders of these Offices, thereupon cease to exist.
6. If the present holders of the Lectureships in these Subjects in the Faculty of Dairy Science in the College shall be appointed to the Professorships hereby created, their stipends shall, notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter II. of Statute XXXVI., of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, commence at £700 per annum and increase by annual increments of £25 to £800 per annum.
   In such event also the pension rights of the holders of these Offices at the time of their appointment to the said Professorships (including their number of years of service in such Lectureships as well as the number of "added " years respectively granted to them for pension purposes), shall accrue to their benefit on their appointment to the said Professorships.
7. The Professorships hereby created are hereby expressly declared to be in lieu of and substitute for the Lectureships in the same Subjects already existing in the College subject to the rights of the present holders of these Offices; and Statute XX. of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, is hereby amended accordingly, and shall be read and construed as if the said Professorships had been established in lieu of the Lectureships in the same Subjects therein mentioned.

CHAPTER II.
Stipends of Lectureships in the Faculty of Dairy Science.

1. In lieu of the stipends of the Lectureships in Dairy Engineering and in Dairy Accountancy & Economics fixed by Statute XX. of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, the Stipends of said Lectureships shall be those set forth hereunder, viz. :

   Lectureship in Dairy Engineering ­ £760 per annum.
   Lectureship in Dairy Accountancy & Economics ­ £700 per annum.

2. The stipends shall be payable in accordance with the Statutes of the College, and shall be subject to the terms of Chapter II. of Statute XXXVI. of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork.
3. Notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter II. of Statute XXXVI. of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, the stipends of the present holders of these Offices shall, as from 1st October, 1939, be £600 per annum increasing by annual increments of £25 to £700 per annum.

CHAPTER III.

1. This Statute shall be construed with and as part of Statutes I. to XXXVII. of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, and may be cited as Statute XXXVIII. of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, or Stat. XXXVIII. of Univ. Coll., Cork.
2. This Statute shall come into operation on the first day of March, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty.
