We, the Governing Body of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, under and by virtue of the powers in that behalf conferred on us by the said Act, Do by this present instrument under the Seal of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork, make the Statute contained in the Schedule hereof for the general government of the said College.

Statute CXLIX. (149)

Schedule

Statutes I. to CXLVIII. (1 to 148), of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork shall be read and construed with the additions, modifications and amendments hereinafter set forth

CHAPTER I.
Increased Stipends

1. The annual stipend of each of the full-time and part-time Professorships, full-time Associate Professorships and full-time Lectureships referred to in Statute CXXXVI. (136), Chapter 1., sections 4(a) (c), as already amended, are hereby further amended by increasing the amount of said stipend, as from 1 July, 1988, by 15% of the annual stipend payable as on 1 May, 1986, the resulting stipend shall also be subject to the increases, effective from dates subsequent to 1 May, 1986, as provided elsewhere in the Statutes but payable with effect from 1 July, 1988.
2. The annual stipend of each full-time Professorship, Associate Professorship and Lectureship in Clinical Dental subjects shall, as from 1 July, 1988, be increased by IR£2,388, IR£2,030 and IR£1,074 respectively.

CHAPTER II.
Professorship of Management

Statute C. (100), Chapter VIII., section 3, as already amended, is hereby further amended by

• (a) designating existing section 3 as "sub-section 3(a)"
• (b) the addition of a new sub-section 3(b) as follows: "3(b) In the event of a further full-time Professorship or further full-time Professorships being created in the Department of Management, the Governing Body shall, in accordance with the terms of Statute CXL.(140), Chapter I., appoint (one of the full-time Professors as Head of the Depart- ment for such period or periods as the Governing Body may decide or until the appointment shall have been terminated by the Governing Body. In that event, the Professor of Management shall carry out the duties of the Professorship under the general direction of the Head of the Department appointed by the Governing Body".

CHAPTER III.
Professorship of Microbiology

1. The Professorship of Food Microbiology, established by Statute XXXVIII. (38), Chapter I, as amended by Statute LXII. (62), Chapter II and by Statute CXLVI. (146), Chapter VI., shall henceforth be known as the Professorship of Microbiology.
2. The said Professorship shall be in the Department of Food Microbiology and shall be a full-time office within the meaning of the Statutes of the College and of the University. The stipend of the said Professorship shall be the same as that provided in Statute CXXXII. (132), Chapter I., section 4(a), as amended.
3. • (a) The duties of the Professor shall be to lecture in Microbiology and Food Microbiology for all degrees, diplomas and certificates of the University and for all diplomas and certificates of the College. The said Professor shall also examine in Microbiology and Food Microbiology for the College and, if required by the Senate to do so, for the University
   • (b) In the event of the Governing Body deciding that the Depart- ment of Food Microbiology be amalgamated with the Department of Biochemistry and/or any other cognate Department, as deter- mined by the Governing Body, the Professorship of Microbiology shall henceforth be in the new amalgamated department and the duties of the said Professor shall be carried out in said new depart- ment.
4. The said Professorship shall be a pensionable office to which the provisions of Statute LXXIX., (79), as amended, and the pension scheme annexed thereto, as amended, shall apply.

CHAPTER IV.

1. This Statute shall be construed with and as part of Statute I. to CXLVIII. (1 to 148) of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork and may be cited as Statute CXLIX. (149) of 晚上福利在线观看, Cork or Stat. CXLIX. (149) of Univ. Coll. Cork.
2. This Statute shall come into operation on the twenty-third day of May, 1989.
