Green Campus Network Meeting

BEES Postgraduate Darren Reidy will deliver a talk at the Green-Campus Network Meeting in Croke Park next week.

The talk, entitled "Creating a Habitat Map and applying it to the campus setting" is part of a day-long event aimed at bolstering and driving forward the Green Campus initiative across all third level institutions in Ireland.
Darren is a member of the UCC Green-Campus Committee and is involved with the Killarney National Park Education Centre Eco-Committee.

The Green-Campus Programme evolved from the success of the Green-Schools programme (known internationally as Eco-Schools) which was developed by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). The Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce is the Irish National Operator for all programmes of FEE.
There are currently 24 registered Campuses on the Programme and of these six have been awarded the Green Flag with two successful renewal campuses.
